Adrian Titieni will take over the interim position at the National Theatre 'I.L. Caragiale' in Bucharest starting January 1, 2026, according to the announcement made by the Minister of Culture, Demeter András István. His mandate will last 120 days, and the management competition for TNB will be launched on January 19. This decision comes after George Călin announced the end of his interim mandate.

In the first stage of the recently organized management project competition, none of the three candidates were admitted, these being Alexandra Badea, Ada Lupu Hausvater, and Radu Popescu. According to the legislation, candidates must obtain a minimum score of 7 to be declared admitted to the interview.
