An 18-year-old girl was rescued by the Romanian Air Force after she was found in critical condition on Toaca Peak.

The 18-year-old was identified in critical medical condition by an Air Force helicopter detachment during a search and rescue mission. She showed severe symptoms of lipoptysis and anemia and was unable to move. After receiving first aid, she was safely transported to a hut where she was handed over to the mountain rescue team. The intervention underlined the professionalism of the Romanian military in supporting the civilian population.
