The Sighetu Marmației Border Police Territorial Inspectorate has announced traffic restrictions on the bridge crossing the river Tisa between Romania and Ukraine for repairs that will last 62 days, from Monday to Friday, between 09.00-15.00. Pedestrian traffic will remain unaffected. The bridge, built in 2000, has been subject to significant overloading due to increased traffic caused by the war in Ukraine. Maramureș County Council is working on a new bridge to improve the connection with Ukraine.
