Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said that, due to lack of funds, no new contracts will be signed under the 'Anghel Saligny' Program in 2025. So far, thousands of contracts have been signed, totaling almost 52 billion lei, half of which has already been paid. Bolojan emphasized that due to the payment peaks for European projects, the government no longer has the fiscal capacity to allocate money for new projects. Existing contracts will be paid over the next three years, and localities will be able to access loans to complete the works faster.
