The Minister of Agriculture, Florin Barbu, has announced a draft normative act to grant emergency financial support to sheep and goat farmers.

The project provides for a grant of 248 lei/head of young female sheep/goat, for a flock of between 50 and 300 head/per beneficiary. This support comes as a result of the losses caused by drought, which have severely affected the sheep and goat sector. Eligible beneficiaries must have holdings with an ANSVSA code and a flock of at least 50 head of young female sheep/goats.
