Starting August 1, the Romanian Customs Authority will launch new electronic systems for the declaration of goods, which will replace paper declarations with a fully electronic process. These will include the National Import System (NIS) and the Temporary Storage and Presentation Notification System (TSD PN). These systems will allow the automatic transmission of supporting documents and the granting of customs clearance, thus reducing formalities and waiting times in customs. Economic operators participated in the testing of the systems and provided feedback for improvements.
