Fuels in Romania continued to rise in price on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Analyzing the data from the platform peco-online.ro, it is observed that several gas station networks have made changes to the prices displayed at the pump.
The cheapest standard gasoline is found on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Petrom stations, where it costs 9.12 lei/l, the same price as the previous day. Socar has also kept the price unchanged, so standard gasoline is sold for 9.19 lei/l. At Rompetrol and OMV, the price has also remained constant at 9.22 lei/l.
In contrast, Mol raised the price of standard gasoline on Thursday to 9.22 lei/l, up from 9.12 lei/l on Wednesday, which means an increase of 0.10 lei/l. Lukoil also increased the price of gasoline, with the price reaching 9.24 lei/l, compared to 9.12 lei/l the previous day, an increase of 0.12 lei/l.
Regarding standard diesel, the lowest price in Bucharest is on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 9.83 lei/l and is found at Petrom. The price is slightly higher compared to Wednesday, when it was 9.82 lei/l, the difference being 0.01 lei/l.
Socar has kept the diesel price constant at 9.89 lei/l. At Rompetrol and OMV, the fuel continues to cost 9.92 lei/l, without changes compared to the previous day.
Mol, which had the cheapest diesel on Wednesday, raised the price on Thursday to 9.92 lei/l, from 9.82 lei/l, which represents an increase of 0.10 lei/l. At Lukoil, the diesel price remained unchanged at 9.94 lei/l.
These price increases vary depending on the gas station network, which generates significant differentiation in fuel costs for consumers.
