Gavrilă claims that Anca Alexandrescu was recently received at the SRI Hospital, which would demonstrate that she is not an independent candidate, but part of the system. In the context of the electoral campaign, POT chose not to support Alexandrescu, opting for their own candidate, actor George Burcea. Gavrilă explained that access to the SRI hospital is strictly regulated and that only staff and their relatives can be received, emphasizing that Alexandrescu is a "long-time patient" of the institution. She added that, although a new wing of the hospital has been opened to allow access to other citizens, Anca Alexandrescu was received before this opening, which reinforces the accusations of ties to the SRI.
