Nicușor Dan elnök csütörtökön, a Cotroceni Palotában fogadja Droupadi Murmu-t, India köztársasági elnökét, aki állami látogatásra érkezik Romániába, július 23-25. között, a román fél meghívására, jelentette be a Köztársasági Elnöki Hivatal.

A Köztársasági Elnöki Hivatal szerint az „official talks between the two heads of state will focus on strengthening the Extended Partnership between Romania and the Republic of India in the context of next year's anniversary of 80 years of bilateral diplomatic relations.

A hivatalos látogatás keretében pénteken egy kétoldalú gazdasági fórumot tartanak, amelyet a két államfő nyit meg, és amelyen részt vesznek Románia és India üzleti szférájának képviselői, valamint a román hatóságok képviselői.

A „dialogue will aim to develop interpersonal relations by intensifying cultural, academic, and sports exchanges, as well as in the fields of research and innovation, alongside deepening bilateral economic cooperation. In this regard, the upward dynamics of the relationship is noteworthy, especially highlighted after the adoption in 2024 of the Joint Declaration marking ten years of extended partnership and against the backdrop of the unprecedented strengthening of the Strategic Partnership between the European Union and the Republic of India,” indicates the Köztársasági Elnöki Hivatal.
