A2 humanoid robot, created by the Chinese company AgiBot, achieved a remarkable performance, covering 106,286 kilometers between Suzhou and Shanghai, setting a new Guinness World Record for 'The longest journey walked by a humanoid robot'. The journey took place between November 10 and 13, 2025, with the robot powered by a rapid hot-swap battery system, allowing it to remain active throughout the entire route.
A2 was equipped with advanced technology, including dual GPS modules and LiDAR sensors, which enabled it to navigate through complex environments while adhering to traffic rules. Despite covering a considerable distance, the robot only suffered slight wear on its soles. Wang Chuang, vice president of AgiBot, emphasized the importance of this achievement for the commercial future of humanoid robots, highlighting advancements in balance algorithms and durability.
