November 3-7, the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) conducted a national control action, checking over 450 economic operators across the country. Following the inspections, the control teams discovered significant irregularities, including expired food products, moldy fruits, and non-compliance with storage conditions.
ANPC imposed 290 fines, totaling 1.43 million lei, and permanently removed non-compliant products worth over 71,000 lei from sale. Additionally, the activity of three economic operators was temporarily suspended. Among the main non-compliances are deficiencies in informing about the origin of the meat, the use of worn equipment, and non-compliance with storage temperatures.
