The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, condemned the massive attacks by Russia on Ukraine, calling a 10-hour attack "brutal" and unacceptable for a country that claims to negotiate peace.

In a post on platform X, Maia Sandu emphasized that Russian drones have violated Moldovan airspace, forcing its temporary closure. The recent attack on Kyiv resulted in the death of one person and the injury of seven others, while residential buildings were hit. This bombing occurred in the context of preparations for peace talks between Ukraine and American officials.

The incident with the drones also prompted Moldovan authorities to mobilize security structures for checks in the northern part of the country. Maia Sandu reaffirmed Moldova's solidarity with Ukraine in the face of these attacks.
