The judges of the High Court meet to decide whether to refer the recently approved Private Pension Law to the Constitutional Court.

The judges of the High Court of Cassation and Justice will meet on Thursday at 14:00 to analyze the possibility of referring to the Constitutional Court of Romania regarding the Law on private pensions, which was recently adopted by Parliament. This law regulates how participants in Pillar II and III can withdraw the accumulated funds. According to the new regulations, oncology patients will have the right to withdraw the entire accumulated amount in a single installment, while other participants can withdraw a maximum of 30% of their money. The bill was approved by the Chamber of Deputies with 178 votes in favor, 64 against, and 22 abstentions, and is set to be sent for promulgation.
