The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, participates in the PES Congress in Amsterdam, advocating for a strong social Europe and public investments.

Sorin Grindeanu, the interim president of the Social Democratic Party and the Chamber of Deputies, will participate in the Congress of the Party of European Socialists (PES) which will take place between October 16 and 18, 2025, in Amsterdam. In the framework of the panel "Social Europe, Strong Europe", Grindeanu will highlight the necessity of a strong social Europe, significant public investments, and an ambitious European budget.

He will emphasize that Romania and the European Union must reject austerity policies, promoting an economy based on cohesion and solidarity. Grindeanu will have bilateral meetings with European leaders, including Stefan Löfven, Iratxe García Pérez, Pedro Sánchez, and António Costa, to discuss the future of the European left, the priorities of the EU budget, and international cooperation. The PSD delegation also includes important allied members, such as Lia Olguța Vasilescu and Victor Negrescu.
