The Prime Minister of Romania, Ilie Bolojan, will make an official visit to Vienna, Austria, on Wednesday and Thursday, at the invitation of Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker.

The main purpose of the visit is to strengthen bilateral relations in the political-diplomatic and economic plan, as well as regional and European coordination. Bolojan will discuss improving interconnection in the electricity sector, an essential topic for ensuring accessible and competitive prices. Additionally, the Prime Minister will address Austria's support in Romania's accession process to the OECD.

Before the meeting in Austria, Ilie Bolojan will meet in Budapest with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to discuss cooperation between Romania, Hungary, and Austria in the energy sector. In Vienna, the Prime Minister will be accompanied by several ministers and will participate in a reception for Romania's National Day.
