Ludovic Orban, presidential advisor, stated that the position of judges regarding the special pension reform is completely unreasonable. He emphasized that if judges do not accept the conditions of the reform, a revision of the Constitution may be necessary to impose a unified pension calculation system based on the contributions of each employee. Orban mentioned that the Government should adopt the bill in its final form, considering that discussions with judges have been open in the hope of avoiding attacks in the Constitutional Court. He expressed pessimism regarding the chances that the bill will not be contested again. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced that the new project will be presented next week, highlighting the importance of obtaining a quick opinion from the CSM. Bolojan added that the final details of the project will be established soon, and decisions will be announced after consultations within the coalition.
