President Nicușor Dan commented on the resignation of the Minister of Defense, Ionuț Moșteanu, stating that the decision to appoint a new minister belongs to USR, according to the coalition protocol. He mentioned that he was previously consulted by USR regarding ministerial appointments and expects to be consulted again now. Dan emphasized that the intensity of criticism in the public space does not always reflect the seriousness of the facts. Regarding the absence of a Minister of Defense for a week, he assured that there is a responsible minister dealing with defense issues, mentioning that such situations are normal in a democracy.
