Mark Rutte, the Secretary General of NATO, has arrived in Romania for his first official visit since taking office. At the Cotroceni Palace, he was received by President Nicușor Dan, and the discussions focused on the threats facing the North Atlantic Alliance, especially on the Eastern Flank, and on ways to strengthen Romania's security.
Rutte will participate in the NATO-Industry Forum 2025, an event dedicated to strategic dialogue with defense industries from NATO member states, which will take place in Bucharest. On the agenda of the visit are meetings with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and the leaders of Parliament, and at the end of the day, Rutte will hold joint press statements with the President of Romania.
