Marcel Ciolacu, former prime minister and current PSD candidate for the presidency of the Buzău County Council, attacked Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, accusing him of confusing the position with the need to be the "Messiah of Romania." Ciolacu emphasized that, following the change of prime ministers, a scapegoat was sought, referring to himself, and criticized Bolojan's statements about the country's "disastrous" economic situation, accusing him of blocking aid programs for SMEs.
Ciolacu mentioned the rise in diesel prices and inflation, stating that if these issues had arisen during his term, he would have been harshly criticized. He concluded that Romania is on the brink of an economic and social crisis due to the mismanagement of the economic situation.
