The president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that his party remains firmly in the governing coalition and will not support the motion of censure prepared by the Opposition against the Bolojan Government. Grindeanu emphasized that the decision to be part of this coalition was made about six months ago, with the support of nearly five thousand colleagues. Although he acknowledged that the elections on Sunday generate tensions within the coalition, he does not believe that PSD parliamentarians will vote for the motion.
Grindeanu mentioned that no decision has been made regarding the vote of the parliamentarians, as the motion has not yet been submitted. He also commented on Victor Ponta's signature on the motion, stating that he is no longer a party member. The Opposition, represented by Senator Ninel Peia, announced that the motion, titled "Romania Is Not for Sale - A Government Without USR", will be submitted on Friday, already having 119 signatures.
