The elected mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, declared on Monday that his expectations for the first year will be rather tempered and probably the biggest challenge will be drafting the budget.

"Probably the biggest challenge this year will be drafting the budget. So, at the end of this year, depending on when the government will adopt the budget law, we, the mayors, have 45 days to draft the budget. I hope to bring some visible improvements, at least in the central area, but significant projects will take time, and probably some reforms will also be needed regarding public services, but I won't go into further details until I have all the information I need to speak much more competently and much more informed," said Ciprian Ciucu.
