Alin Avrămescu, the AUR candidate for the presidency of the Buzău County Council, commented on the election results, emphasizing that the low voter turnout calls into question the legitimacy of the future president, regardless of their name. Avrămescu thanked the people of Buzău who voted and stated that AUR is the only real opposition against PSD in the county.

He noted that a turnout of under 90,000 votes cannot confer legitimacy to a person who will lead the county. The former social-democrat prime minister, Marcel Ciolacu, won the elections with 51.97% of the votes, while Avrămescu obtained 27.03%. Ciolacu will lead CJ Buzău until the summer of 2028. Avrămescu promised that AUR's activity will continue in the county in the coming years.
