The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, announced that 18 mixed farms in Romania have been selected to become 'model farms' at the national level, benefiting from total investments of 3 million euros through a grant scheme. These farms, located in the counties of Alba, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, Satu Mare, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, and Vrancea, will contribute to soil and water protection by implementing modern and sustainable solutions. The funding, provided through a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, will allow the farms to invest in equipment for managing manure, machinery that reduces ammonia pollution, and efficient agricultural technologies. These farms join an existing network of 15 farms from other counties, thus expanding the positive impact on rural communities.
