Sabrina Carpenter's reaction came after the White House released a video of the arrest of some individuals, set to the song 'Juno', in the context of the intensification of the Trump administration's actions in the field of immigration. The artist stated that the video is "evil and disgusting" and called for her work not to be involved in promoting an agenda she considers inhumane.
In response, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson stated that the administration will not apologize for the deportation of dangerous criminals. Carpenter joins other musicians who have requested that their songs not be used in campaigns, such as Beyoncé, ABBA, Foo Fighters, and Kenny Loggins, who have had similar complaints in the past.
