The car market in Romania continues to develop rapidly, with a notable increase in electric vehicle sales, which rose by 80% in the autumn of 2025, according to data published by the General Directorate of Driving Licenses and Registrations (DGPCI) and analyzed by the Association of Automobile Producers and Importers (APIA). This trend highlights the growing interest of consumers in electrified vehicles, which are increasingly dominating the Romanian car market. This favorable evolution reflects government commitments and initiatives to support sustainable mobility, contributing to the transition to a greener vehicle fleet.
