The tour operator Cocktail Holidays has been fined by the Ministry of Economy with a penalty of 34,000 lei and its tourism license has been revoked, following an inspection that revealed serious deficiencies in its operations. The Ministry discovered non-compliance with the legislation regarding travel service packages and the failure to ensure the execution of the sold services. As a result, the agency has been prohibited from entering into new contracts and has been obliged to fulfill existing obligations. Additionally, Cocktail Holidays has filed for insolvency, accused by partners of not paying its collaborators, and tourists have been threatened with eviction from hotels. The agency's owner acknowledged the financial difficulties caused by the economic situation, promising efforts for recovery.
