The Cluj-Napoca City Hall is preparing an investment of 16 million lei for the modernization of the shores of Gheorgheni Lake, with the aim of expanding pedestrian and relaxation areas. The Local Council will discuss the update of financial indicators in the upcoming meeting, with project costs revised from 9.9 million lei to 16 million lei. The project targets an area of 61,903 square meters and includes the development of the north-western and north-eastern shores, with interventions such as the construction of an ornamental fountain, relocation of the pier, construction of a pavilion, and replacement of means of strolling on the lake. New pontoons and fishing platforms will be arranged, and the ecological works will improve water quality. The project will allow for the organization of cultural events and will maintain the area of green spaces. The funds will come from the local budget, and the estimated execution duration is 12 months.
